Bellend Ball is Fantasy Football, But Worse. To make the nonsense work, we need to process a small amount of personal data. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, who might see it, and how you can ask us about it.

We have tried to keep this readable. No tactical whiteboard. No mysterious legal formation. Just the privacy bits.

Who Is Responsible

Controller: Bellend Ball.

Privacy contact: privacy@bellendball.com.

If a formal data protection representative or Data Protection Officer becomes required, their details will be added here.

What We Collect

We collect the minimum squad sheet needed to run the game:

  • account details such as name, email address, password hash, role, and email verification status;
  • game details such as team name, selected players, submitted squad status, leagues, rankings, and leaderboard results;
  • security details such as session cookies, login timestamps, rate-limit records, and admin permissions;
  • admin audit records for scoring changes, candidate approvals, voids, restores, and other acts of official bellendry;
  • technical details such as IP address, browser information, server logs, and error logs.

Why We Use It

We use personal data to:

  • create accounts and let users log in;
  • let users pick squads, join leagues, submit teams, and view leaderboards;
  • send account, login, and email verification messages;
  • keep the app secure and stop abuse, fraud, spam, and other avoidable nonsense;
  • audit scoring decisions and admin actions;
  • operate, debug, maintain, and improve the service.

Lawful Bases

Where UK GDPR applies, we rely on lawful bases including performance of a contract to provide the game, legitimate interests in running and securing Bellend Ball, consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations where they apply.

Our legitimate interests include operating the competition, protecting accounts, preventing abuse, keeping score records accurate, and maintaining an audit trail when admins correct scoring mistakes.

Who We Share It With

We may share data with service providers that help us host the app, store the database, send transactional email, monitor errors, analyse basic service performance, or protect the app. They only get what they need to provide those services.

We do not sell personal data. We are running a football disaster simulator, not a data brokerage.

Cookies And Browser Storage

Bellend Ball uses authentication cookies and/or local browser storage to keep users signed in and to protect accounts. These are used for login, security, and app functionality. They are not used for third-party advertising.

How Long We Keep Data

We keep account, team, league, scoring, and audit data while the service is active or while it is needed for security, dispute resolution, score history, and record keeping.

If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymise personal account data where we reasonably can. Some scoring, league, audit, and security records may need to be kept where they are required to preserve competition integrity or investigate abuse.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live and the lawful basis involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, transfer, or object to the use of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To make a privacy request, email privacy@bellendball.com. We may need to verify your identity before changing or disclosing account information.
